Dr. Lauren Prather
Veterinarian
Dr. Lauren Prather is a Florida native who grew up in Tallahassee. She earned both her undergraduate degree in Zoology and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida, graduating with honors. Dr. Prather enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and is active in the veterinary community as the current secretary of the Central Florida Veterinary Medical Association and a member of both the Florida Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Outside of work, Dr. Prather enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and cheering on the Gators during football season. She shares her home with three cats—Darth Kitty, Handicat, and Henry.

Dr. Elizabeth Cappleman
Veterinarian
Dr. Elizabeth Cappleman is originally from Charleston, SC. She attended Sewanee: The University of the South where she played 4 years of collegiate basketball and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She also earned a Masters in Biomedical Professions at Lincoln Memorial University before graduating from The University of Tennessee: College of Veterinary Medicine in 2020. Dr. Cappleman enjoys all areas of veterinary medicine, especially surgery and preventative medicine. She loves spending time with her husband, Sam, and their two French Bulldogs, Gus and Edna! She also enjoys traveling, cooking, and anything outdoors!

Dr. Jennifer MacDonald
Veterinarian
Dr. Jennifer MacDonald was born and raised in Scotland prior to moving to Winter Garden with her family in 2010. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from St. Leo University and graduated from St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2023 after completing her clinical year at University of Florida. Her most memorable veterinary school experiences include working with Rhinos in South Africa, assisting in surgery on a tiger and helping with research on leatherback turtles in Grenada!
Dr. MacDonald has a special interest in internal medicine, emergency, anesthesia/pain management, and preventative care. She is also fear-free certified and working towards becoming a certified veterinary acupuncturist through Chi University.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. MacDonald loves singing, DIY/craft projects, traveling, Jeopardy, family time and enjoying her own furry crew: her dogs, Yogi, Billie, and Bambi and her cats, Ronald and Quinty.
Dr. MacDonald has been a part of the WGAH family since 2016 when she first started as a kennel technician, then veterinary technician before going to vet school. She is proud to return to the team as a veterinarian!

Dr. Christopher Bruckart
Veterinarian
Dr. Christopher Bruckart graduated from the University of Central Florida with degrees in Biology and Management Information Systems. He then went on to earn his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at Ross University with clinical rotations at Purdue University.
Dr. Bruckart has worked in Central Florida for the last eight years with a background in shelter medicine, emergency medicine, surgery, and occasional exotics. His hobbies include playing his ukulele, building LEGO sets, and watching TV with his four cats; Panther, Finn, Faye, and Tigger!

Dr. Jazlynn Colon
Veterinarian
Dr. Colon’s love for animals started early, thanks to her childhood pet, Nitro, who sparked a dream that’s guided her ever since. She knew from the age of seven that she wanted to become a veterinarian, and that passion has only grown stronger over the years. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Florida (Go Gators!) before earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, where she gained a strong foundation in both clinical skills and compassionate care.
Now, as a proud member of the Winter Garden team, Dr. Colon is thrilled to be back home and serving the community she loves. She is dedicated to building lasting relationships with pet owners and providing high-quality care to their furry family members. She’s here to ensure your pets feel safe, loved, and well cared for every step of the way.
